Devata Active Membership
What’s included in my membership?
When you become a member of Devata Active, you immediately receive unlimited access to our membership video and audio archives. You’ll be able to choose from hundreds of classes from our experienced and knowledgeable teachers. You can think of it as your all-access pass to incredible teachers and diverse classes – Pilates, yoga, barre, fitness, cycle, meditation… anytime, anywhere.
What's the Devata Difference?
We know there is a lot of content out there. So much so, it can be difficult to know which one is right for you. You might be asking yourself “What makes Devata different?”. Great question! There are several things that make us a little unique.
The Devata team of Teachers are REAL TEACHERS – not Instagram celebrities, YouTube sensations or media personalities. Our Teachers have dedicated years of study and training to their area of focus. They work with people day in and day out to improve the well-being of their communities. We like to think of them as our team of everyday heroes! We are so proud to have them as part of our community and to share them with you.
Furthermore, Devata is unique in the variety of voices it represents. We have actively sought out a diverse group of teachers – diverse in specialty (yogis, personal trainers, natural movement specialists, dancers, holistic physicians, meditation guides, life coaches, mental health professionals, professors, etc.) & message. We see BEAUTY IN DIVERSITY. Life is not one size fits all. There’s no one way to do this. We know it. You know it. LET’S CELEBRATE IT!
Lastly, we emphasize community. YOU ARE WHY WE DO THIS. Our goal is to provide you with classes, content and resources that will support and inspire you. We think about you everyday and how we can do a better job in lifting you up. It is our privilege and passion!
How is the membership different than buying a Class Bundle or Workshop?
Occasionally, we pull videos out of the membership library and package them together to make them available outside of our membership. When you buy an bundle or workshop on Devata, it’s yours for life. It is a one-time payment that allows you download the classes and use offline.
On the other hand, when you join as a member you receive access to our entire video library for as long as you remain a member. You can stream these classes online and through our Smart TV & mobile apps (coming soon!). If you cancel your membership, you will lose access to the videos & related content.
Do you offer a free trial?
Yes! With both the monthly and annual membership plans, your first week is free. We happily offer you 7 full days to explore the site and try it out. If you cancel before the week is over, you will not be charged. Once the week is over, you will automatically become a member and remain so until you cancel.
How long is the membership for?
You can cancel your membership anytime. Payments are renewed automatically, so just be sure to cancel your membership before the next billing cycle to avoid being charged. You can do this easily on the My Account page.
How do I cancel my membership
You can cancel your membership anytime on the My Account page or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Do you add new classes for active members?
Absolutely. Each month we add between 3-10 new classes for our members. We have hundreds of videos to choose from, ranging in duration, style and difficulty.
What's the difference between the MOVE & GROW membership?
The MOVE membership includes hundreds of movement-based classes, from yoga to HIIT to Pilates. It also includes a variety of meditation and restorative style classes. MOVE members have all-access to these classes on your schedule.
The GROW membership is oriented towards wellness professionals or serious students looking for greater resources in working others. This includes workshops, articles & interviews related to relevant topics as well as professional resources. GROW members also have access to the MOVE membership library.
What kind of equipment do I need to use my membership?
The Devata Video Library can be accessed in a variety of ways
- By computer with internet access
- By our Smart TV apps (Coming soon)
- By mobile app (Coming soon)
All you need to enjoy your membership is your personal device, be it a phone, tablet, computer or SmartTV. You also may want some of the simpler tools to utilize during your practice, like a yoga mat, bottle of water, yoga blocks or weights. Whatever else you add to compliment your practice is entirely up to you.
Do you offer refunds?
We do not offer refunds. We recommend utilizing the free trial to ensure that Devata is a good match for you. You are free to cancel you membership at any time, no questions asked.
Bundles & Workshops
How do I access my Class Bundle once I have completed my purchase?
Once you have purchased the Class Bundle of your choice, you will have access to it from multiple places for your convenience.
1. The first option is to simply download the class bundle videos, a zip file, upon purchasing. A pop up window will appear with a link to download to your computer, phone or tablet. You will also receive an email upon purchase with the download link. After downloading the Class Bundle, you can watch your classes offline.
2. You can also stream your Class Bundle directly on the Devata website. The link to your classes can be found on the MY ACCOUNT page after logging into your account. You will need internet access in order to stream classes on Devata.
3. Additionally, you can access your Class Bundle on your SmartTV & mobile apps (coming soon).
How long do I have access to a Workshop or Class Bundle?
Once you purchase a workshop, it’s yours to keep. There is no expiration date. You can continue to watch and download the workshop videos and any other included materials.
How is purchasing a workshop or bundle different from becoming a member?
When you purchase a class bundle or workshop you pay a one-time fee and receive lifetime access to that particular content. When you become a member, you a pay a monthly or annual fee to access our larger video library. You have access to our entire membership library for as long as you are a member.
What is your refund policy?
Given that our content is downloadable, we do not offer refunds. However, we are happy to help with any technical or customer support issues. Please contact us if you are having trouble or have any questions.
Do you provide customer support?

Are the retreat deposits refundable?
Your deposit reserves your space. We know things happen that sometimes interfere with your ability to attend the retreat. However, due to the nature of retreats all deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Thank you for your understanding.
When are final payments due?
Final retreat payments must be made at least 60 days prior to the start of the retreat. If by this time, payment has not been received in full, participants risk being automatically dropped from the roster.
What is your cancellation policy regarding retreats?
Retreat deposits are nonrefundable.
CANCELLATIONS BY ATTENDEE
It is critical that you communicate any change of plans to us as early as possible so that we can accommodate you as best as possible.
If you cancel your retreat booking more than 60 days prior to the first day of your booked retreat, any payments made will be refunded minus your deposit. If cancellation takes place less than 60 days prior to the start date of the retreat, 100% of the trip price will be forfeited.
CANCELLATIONS BY DEVATA
We try to avoid cancellations if at all possible. In the event that a retreat needs to be cancelled (due to inclement weather, low enrollments, or safety concerns, etc.) we will offer a transfer to another trip or a full refund. We encourage all participants to purchase travel insurance to cover unrecoupable expenses incurred as the result of a cancellation, as well as for peace of mind while traveling.
Will the itinerary change?
Devata Active reserves the right to make changes to our itinerary when necessary. Whenever possible, we will communicated these changes with registrants.
What if I am traveling alone?
We know sometimes single travelers desire to share a room. We will do everything we can to accommodate these requests and pair you with other guests seeking shared rooms, however cannot guarantee placement with another traveler. Roommate requests should be submitted as early as possible. In the event that we are unable to pair you with a roommate, you will be charged the single occupancy rate on your final payment invoice.
Teacher Training Programs
Is the initial deposit refundable if I decide not to attend the program?
Your deposit reserves your space. We know things happen that sometimes interfere with your ability to attend the training. However, due to the nature of trainings all deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Thank you for your understanding.
Do you offer payment plans for your Teacher Training Programs?
Devata Active currently offers several payment plan options:
- Pay in full (and receive a discounted rate!)
- Deposit + remainder payment 60 days before start of training
- Deposit + 3-monthly automatic payments (slightly higher rate)
- Deposit +6-monthly automatic payments (slightly higher rate)
Payments MUST be made in full by due date stated in payment plan proposal or participants risk being dropped from the training without a refund. All Payment Plan payments are non-refundable.
Teacher trainees must be in good financial standing before receiving their certification.
What is your cancellation policy regarding the Teacher Training Programs?
Cancellations by Attendee
We know things happen. However, due to the nature of retreats we are unable to offer refunds on deposits. While training deposits are nonrefundable, payments beyond the deposit will be returned if the cancellation is made more than 60 days in advance of the retreat start date. If cancellations are made within 60 days, we are not able to offer a refund for any reason due to our responsibility towards the retreat hosting facility. Thank you for your understanding.
Cancellations by Attendee on Payment Plan
We know things happen. However, due to the nature of retreats and trainings, we are unable to offer refunds on any payments made on a payment plan with Devata Active. Thank you for your understanding.
Cancellations by Devata
We try to avoid cancellations if at all possible. In the event that a retreat needs to be cancelled (due to inclement weather, low enrollments, or safety concerns, etc.) we offer a full refund. We encourage all participants to purchase travel insurance to cover unrecoverable expenses incurred as the result of a cancellation (such as flights), as well as for peace of mind while traveling. You understand that Devata will not be responsible for these expenses.
What does the price of the Teacher Training Program include? What will I receive?
Your tuition includes your training program, course materials, 6-month Devata MOVE Membership & 6-month Devata GROW Membership. In the case of residential programs, accommodation and most meals are included. Airfare and additional personal expenses are not included. More details will be provided on the specific training event page for each travel-based training retreat.
What is not included in the total price?
For destination-based trainings, airfare, ground transportation, occasional meals on outings, supplemental coursebooks and other travel related expenses are not included. For non-residential trainings, accommodation, meals & supplemental coursebooks are not included. We try to be as transparent about these costs as possible. Have questions? Just ask!
What certification will I receive upon completing the Teacher Training Program?
You must complete all 3 modules in order to receive your 200-HR certification from Devata Active and register as an RYT with the Yoga Alliance.
I purchased a class bundle, but can't remember how to watch it?
Class bundles are always available for you to watch. You can access your class bundle at any time via the MY ACCOUNT page after logging in.
I noticed a billing error. Who should I contact?
